Kush Hayes is an SF Native since 1978. My first memories of movies are Superman: The Movie and The Empire Strikes Back. I want to say on both of those that they were re-releases. The days before video stores and of course there is no netflix and not too many people have HBO let alone cable tv.
I love movies. I love all kinds of movies but I’m passed the point in life where I need to see EVERYTHING. I try to see as much as I can when I can. I’ve always loved seeing movies on opening day, if there isn’t a sneak preview available. I love telling people my opinions of movies whether they’ve asked me or not.
Back over the Summer I bumped into Kai, who has been a friend of friends forever - and was always known as a good dude. We got to talking about movies: mainstream, obscure and B-movie midnight nonsense and he got to thinking “We should do a podcast” - I agreed and here we are.
The further we go on this journey, the better you’ll get to know me. We aren’t going to agree on everything, but I like to think we’re going to have a lot of fun.
Kai is an alumni of The Onion, UCB and the deepest reaches of Cable TV.
Bay Area native, video game designer, appetizer connoisseur, Peabody award winner.
He previously hosted a Podcast for Sony Pictures about movies on their streaming service “Crackle” and was also Quentin Tarantino’s writing assistant.
