Deadpool 2: Review by @Kush_Hayes

Deadpool 2: Review by @Kush_Hayes

So I’m in the minority of people who didn’t like the original Deadpool movie. I don’t understand or appreciate the character and I hate Anti-Heroes. You’re a hero, or a villain. To me, The Punisher is a murderer. To me, Deadpool is just a murderer.

I’m still correct on both of those. However (if you play the Kush Hayes drinking game, you have to drink now), this time they narrowed down Deadpools murderlist. In this movie, he explicitly only murders sex-traffickers and child molesters/abusers. In the last movie, he was the merc with a mouth. Now he’s a dude trying to save a child from being the biggest monster history has ever known.

That might actually be the best thing one can say about this movie. If you loved this last movie, you no-sold this movie. I HATED the last one and I let out the biggest laughs the theater heard tonight.

Here’s why I liked this one: Deadpool is given actual humanity. Where the last movie was a spoof, this is a spoof of a spoof and hits all the sequel milestones to a perfect imitation that it’s actually a passable summer sequel blockbuster. He is stripped of everything that he cares about in the beginng, and tries to redeem himself (poorly, but still) where, he is finally human.

ZaZie Beetz, as reported, is delightful in this movie, she is the best part of this story to the point you wish she had double the screen time.

Josh Brolin is mediocre compared to what we saw out of CGI-him in Avengers Infinity War just three weeks ago.

TJ Miller has the biggest laughs but has a whole five mins of time. Its all thats needed of him too regardless of current events.

Ryan Reynolds, pours his soul into this character. I recognized that from the last one. He is also a funny dude, and good actor who I want to see win every time. I dont see him getting another Deadpool movie, but I do see them bringing him in for future #XMen movies before the franchise crosses over to Disney or Universal.

Im happy to say it was ok.
